How to Animate Minifigure Walking and Running (LEGO Stop-Motion Tutorial)
To walk, to run, which one, which one??? In this rioforce tutorial, I go over the how-to of making a minifigure walk, different walk cycles, smooth surface walking, as well as how to make a lego minifigure run, run cycles, using helping hands, sticky tac, rigs, armatures, and more. And it's EASY! A good video for beginners AND a refresher for experienced stop-motion animators alike.

Great video! I've planned to make my own project wiht my canon 600D but I don't have laptop yet. I have my base pc but I would need extra pc for stop motion. Should I buy mac or windows? I've used stop motion studio pro with my phone but with pc its little bit different and I can't spend so much money to dragonframe yet. Should I just buy some good affordable laptot and buy stop motion studio pro for it?

I think you counted the base static pose double in the normal walk cycle. It's only a four frame (or eight frame) cycle.

Great tutorial! Figuring out these walk and run animations on my own has been a real headache, I think this is the first tutorial I’ve watched where it really clicked for me. What frame rate do you use?

Good job, man. You have explained these concepts better than the specialized channels do.
What do you recommend for post production? like making my legos fly and rig removal ? adobe after effects or something else ?
An image editor is suitable if you have no budget, You just have to do it one frame at a time. Something like GIMP or Photoshop Elements (which is cheaper than regular PS). Otherwise, AE would work, but I haven't personally used it. You can probably use Davinci Resolve to mask things pretty easily, if you know the program (I don't, so I can't help there). It's free, though, so worth looking into.

Canon 18-55mm kit lens is a good go-to if you just need one lens!
That being said, the Nikkor 28mm I showed off is only about 50 dollars on eBay, plus 10 for an adapter and maybe another 10 for macro filters, so that’s very affordable for a camera lens.
